Movers Serving Seattle, Tacoma,
Olympia & Western Washington
Young Buck Movers is based in Tacoma and covers communities throughout Pierce, King, Thurston, and Snohomish Counties. Whether you're moving across town or between cities on the I-5 corridor, we handle the job with the same licensed, insured crew and the same straight pricing.
Seattle, Tacoma & Olympia
Our three core service cities along the Western Washington I-5 corridor. We handle moves within each city and between all three — local or long-distance.
King County
Seattle
Seattle moves come with real logistics — hills, apartment buildings with elevator windows, loading dock scheduling, and street parking that requires a plan. We've worked Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Ballard, Beacon Hill, and everything in between. If you're moving into or out of Seattle, call first and we'll talk through the specifics of your building and neighborhood.

Tacoma
Tacoma is where we work every day. We know the North End, Hilltop, Stadium District, the South End, and everything in between. Older homes with tight hallways, apartments near downtown or UW Tacoma, newer construction in the suburbs — we've moved in every part of this city and we don't show up guessing at what we'll find.

Olympia
Olympia and the surrounding Thurston County communities — Lacey, Tumwater, Yelm, and Tenino — are part of our regular service area. The state capital has a mix of older downtown properties, newer suburban neighborhoods, and a steady flow of residents moving in and out. We handle Thurston County moves as part of our standard I-5 corridor service.

From Snohomish County south to Thurston County, we handle moves of all sizes with the same team, the same insurance, and the same pricing approach — no surprises when the job is done.
Pierce County Moving Services
Our home county. We know Pierce County better than anywhere else — the neighborhoods, the roads, and the moving challenges specific to this area.
Our Home Base
Pierce County is where Young Buck Movers does the majority of its work. We've moved families in Tacoma's historic North End, helped businesses relocate near the Port, and unloaded furniture in just about every zip code the county has. That depth of local experience means we don't show up to your address guessing at what we'll find — we've probably been there.
Full County Coverage
We cover the full county — from Gig Harbor in the west to Bonney Lake and Sumner in the east, from University Place and Fircrest in the north to Eatonville and Orting further south. If you're in Pierce County, we're your local movers. No need to hire a Seattle company and pay extra for travel time.
Tacoma to the Suburbs
A significant share of our work involves moves between Tacoma proper and the surrounding communities — Lakewood, Puyallup, Spanaway, Fife, and Federal Way. These are common relocations for people looking for more space, a shorter commute, or a different neighborhood feel. We handle them efficiently because we make this run regularly.
Communities We Cover in Pierce County
Don't see your community listed? Call — we cover most of Pierce County and can confirm your location in under a minute.
King County Moving Services
Seattle and the surrounding King County communities. We cover the full corridor from Federal Way north through Seattle, handling city moves and suburban relocations alike.
Communities We Cover in King County
Seattle moves often require advance coordination with building management. Call us early and we'll handle the logistics.
Seattle City Moves
Seattle is one of the more logistically challenging cities in the region for movers. Steep hills, dense neighborhoods, narrow streets, apartment buildings with specific loading dock schedules and elevator reservation requirements — all of it adds time and complexity when it's not managed in advance. We know how Seattle buildings work and we plan accordingly.
Seattle Neighborhoods We Know
Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford, Magnolia, Beacon Hill, West Seattle, Rainier Valley, SoDo, South Lake Union, and more. Each Seattle neighborhood has its own quirks when it comes to truck access and street logistics. We've worked in all of them.
South King County
Federal Way, Renton, Kent, Auburn, Burien, and SeaTac are strong parts of our King County coverage. These communities sit right along the I-5 and I-405 corridors and are popular destinations for moves out of Tacoma and Pierce County. We cover the full south King County area and regularly run moves between there and Pierce County.
Thurston County Moving Services
Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and the communities of Thurston County. About 35 miles south of Tacoma on I-5 and a regular part of our service area.
The South Sound
Olympia and Thurston County represent the southern end of the I-5 corridor we cover. The area has grown significantly in recent years — newer suburban developments in Lacey and Tumwater, the downtown Olympia waterfront, and rural properties further south all generate steady moving demand. We serve the full county and are familiar with both the newer construction neighborhoods and the older downtown areas.
Government Workforce Moves
Olympia's status as the state capital means a consistent flow of government workers and contractors moving in and out of the area. We handle professional moves with the scheduling flexibility, careful handling, and reliable timing that anyone relocating for work needs from a moving company.
Tacoma to Olympia — A Common Run
Moving between Tacoma and Olympia is one of our more frequent routes. The 35-mile stretch along I-5 is straightforward in terms of logistics, and we price these moves fairly based on the scope of the job and drive time — not as a "long-distance" premium just because two counties are involved.
Communities We Cover in Thurston County
Travel time from Tacoma to Olympia is typically 35–45 minutes. We're straightforward about how this factors into pricing when you call.
Snohomish County Moving Services
Everett, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, and communities north of Seattle. Available for moves to and from Snohomish County — call to confirm availability for your location and date.
Communities We Cover in Snohomish County
Snohomish County coverage depends on date, schedule, and distance. Always call to confirm before booking.
North of Seattle
Snohomish County sits north of Seattle along the I-5 and US-2 corridors. Everett is the county seat and the largest city, followed by Lynnwood, Mukilteo, and Edmonds closer to the King County border. We cover this area for moves to and from Tacoma and Pierce County as well as within Snohomish County when schedule allows.
Boeing Country
The Everett and Mukilteo area has a large aerospace workforce, and employee relocations in and out of Snohomish County are common. If you're moving for work — coming from Tacoma up to Everett, or leaving the area — we can handle the logistics and price the move fairly based on actual scope, not just distance.
Confirming Availability
Because Snohomish County is the furthest from our Tacoma base, availability is more schedule-dependent than our Pierce or King County coverage. Call us with your move date and location and we'll tell you straightaway whether we can make it work. We'd rather confirm early than leave you without a crew the week of your move.
Booking a Move Outside Tacoma
A few things to keep in mind when your move involves travel time or crosses county lines.
Travel Fees
Moves beyond our immediate Tacoma service area may include a travel fee depending on distance and drive time. We're upfront about this when you call — you'll know the full pricing structure before we commit to anything. No charges that show up for the first time on move day.
Book Early for Longer Moves
A move from Tacoma to Seattle or Olympia takes more of the crew's day than a local job. Those dates tend to fill earlier, especially on weekends and end-of-month. Give yourself two weeks or more when possible — we'll confirm your date and hold it so there's no last-minute scramble.
Confirm Your Location
If you're not sure whether your community is in our service area, call and we'll tell you in under a minute. We'd rather confirm upfront than have you plan around a crew that can't make the drive. Coverage can also vary based on our schedule that week — the earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we have.
Service Area Questions
What people usually ask before booking a move outside Tacoma.
Travel fees may apply for moves outside our immediate Tacoma service area depending on distance and drive time. We're fully transparent about any additional costs when you call — you'll have the complete pricing picture before committing to anything. No surprise charges at the end of the job.
Yes. We regularly handle moves between Tacoma, Seattle, and Olympia. Pricing for these moves is based on the actual scope of the job and the drive involved — not a blanket "long-distance" rate just because you're crossing county lines. Call with your details and we'll give you a straight number.
We do cover Snohomish County communities including Everett, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, and Edmonds. Coverage depends on our schedule and how far the location is. Call to confirm — if we can make it work, we'll tell you right away and get you on the calendar.
For moves between cities — Tacoma to Seattle, Tacoma to Olympia, or anything spanning more than 20-30 miles — two weeks ahead is a good target. End-of-month dates and summer Saturdays fill fastest. The earlier you call, the better chance we can lock in the exact date you need.
Yes. Seattle apartment moves often require coordinating elevator windows, loading dock access, and parking permits in advance. We handle all of that as part of the job — call early so we have time to sort out the building requirements before move day. The more lead time we have, the smoother it goes.
